TheLaundryMobile ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and services (collectively, the "Service").

By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information You Provide

When you register for an account or use our Service, we may collect:

  • Account Information: Email address, phone number, first name, last name, and password
  • Address Information: Street address, city, state, ZIP code, and delivery instructions
  • Payment Information: Credit/debit card details processed securely via Stripe (billing address is collected directly by our payment processor and not stored by us)
  • Laundry Preferences: Detergent preferences, fabric softener preferences, wash/dry temperature settings, sorting preferences
  • Service Requests: Order details, special instructions, pickup and delivery time preferences
  • Communications: Support tickets, feedback, and correspondence with our team

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use our Service, we automatically collect:

  • Device Information: Push notification tokens and device platform (iOS/Android) for delivering notifications
  • Location Data:
    • For customers, we geocode entered addresses to coordinates for service area verification.
    • For drivers, we collect real-time location to coordinate pickups and deliveries.
  • Server Logs: IP address, request timestamps, and API endpoint access may be logged by our infrastructure providers for security and debugging purposes.

(We do not currently use mobile analytics or usage-tracking tools.)

2.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information from:

  • Payment Processors: Transaction confirmation and payment status from Stripe
  • Mapping Services: Address verification and geocoding from Google Places API

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Process and fulfill your laundry orders
  • Coordinate pickup and delivery
  • Send transactional notifications
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Provide customer support
  • Maintain security and prevent fraud

4. Communication Preferences

Marketing communications are sent only with your explicit opt-in consent.

Transactional communications are required for service delivery but may be limited by your notification channel preferences.

Note: Disabling notification channels may prevent you from receiving important service updates.

5. How We Share Your Information

5.1 Service Providers

We share personal information with trusted vendors for essential operations:

  • Stripe (payments)
  • AWS (infrastructure)
  • Twilio (SMS)
  • Email delivery providers
  • Google Maps/Places (address verification)

We do not sell personal information.

5.2 Drivers and Partners

Drivers and franchise partners receive only what is necessary to complete service.

5.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

6. Data Security

We use encryption, access controls, tokenization, and monitoring to protect your data.

Proof Photos

Proof photos are:

  • Stored privately
  • Accessible only to you, assigned drivers, and admins
  • Used for disputes and quality assurance

7. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as reasonably necessary for business, legal, and security purposes.

The periods below are typical targets, not guaranteed deletion deadlines. Actual retention may vary based on operational needs, backups, legal obligations, fraud prevention, or unresolved disputes.

Actual deletion timing depends on technical, legal, and operational constraints. We may retain data longer when required by law or for fraud prevention, disputes, or audits.

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data using in-app tools or by emailing corporate@thelaundrymobile.com.

Marketing can be opted out at any time.

9. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

10. Policy Updates

We may update this policy and notify you of material changes.

Residents of certain U.S. states have additional rights.
